Whether it’s a zombie slasher or a soothing sci-fi, Imagine Fantastic Film Festival (the largest fantastic film festival of The Netherlands) shows films that are anything but mainstream. We celebrated these non-typical films with a new positioning (weird is wonderful) and a new identity. The essence of the identity is a fantasized typographic overlay on top of an otherwise standard typeface. It combines shapes from different movie genres – such as spikes (horror), slimy bubbles (sci-fi), and tentacles (anime). Similar to Imagine’s programming, all these genres are mixed into one.
